I worked for Starbucks in college. It was an amazing place to work for several reasons. You can arrive tired and you'll undoubtedly get perked right up no matter what. You can't help it with all the coffee around. Though, you will get addicted, if you aren't already, to coffee. By the time I left Starbucks, I was drinking 3 mochas a day.
Beyond that though, the perks continue. There are all the major benefits of working for a corporation, but the hours are always flexible. It's always busy, so you don't have to look around and search for something to do (like empty the garbage!!) and when your shift is over, you'll be rearing to get on witih the rest of your life.

A friend of mine started working for Starbucks in college and actually ended up taking on a management role after school. Training is awesome, they have annual conferences in tropical and city destinations and moving up in the company is based on your desire and work ethic, not necesarily seniority.

I personally wasn't too crazy about it. It was a good job and I envied people who worked for other branches where it seemed, but my boss was the devil in very modest disguise. But at times it can be OK.
