The drug problem will never end as long as there are drugs in the world. You can legalize them all that you want, and tax them, but that will not stop people from taking them especailly impressionable teenagers. As long as people take drugs the problem will never go away.

We can't. People's desire to change their consciousness is part of the human condition. "The Drug Problem" is something that has existed as long as humans have roamed the earth.
So the best way to deal with this issue? Legalize drugs, so we can tax them and make them safer. (Think about alcohol prohibition. When this happened, people started to mainly drink super strong spirits because it was illegal and you had to sneak booze around, so it was all about moonshine & bathtub gin. Now that it's legal to drink, most people enjoy wine & beer and less-strong drinks. So the more illegal a substance is, the stronger it tends to be!)
Also, we should focus more on treatment & not just toss people in jail! This is an abomination!

It's impossible. Prescription meds are the most abused. And these are controlled substances. There is no way to abolish drugs or the use of them . I agree with the first person. Legalize them and tax the hell out of them. That's the only way it will be semi controlled. And that's the closest that we'll ever get.

I agree with AT.

But I would go further. Make sure that everyone knows that if they DO get into drugs, they'll have to take care of themselves when the drugs have destroyed their health. NO help. NONE!

Eventually most of them will die off and the only ones left will be those who didn't do drugs. An effective, if severe, form of eugenics.

Don't start taking drugs yourself!! You can only control your own behavior, not the behavior of others. Be an example.
