mmmm... said as if we (US) were not on the top of the rest of the world's "least favorite" list...

well, champagne, for a start - bubbly from anywhere but Champagne France is simply not champagne! Croque Monsieur & Madame - the two absolute best ham & cheese sandwiches ever. Wine, Wine, Wine!!! French Bread - no sub sandwich would be the same without it. Chocolate Mouse. That adorable accent, even when it is pronouncing rude words... sigh... Maurice Chevalier (the man who coined the laugh sound "hon hon hon" and thanked heaven for little girls) - what an adorable little man!

i completely agree with the post above: 1) Paris and it's very vocal government is not France, France is not Paris... and 2) all governments are moronic, and theirs is not the only xenophobic one out there right now...

Well, I can truly say that the French from Paris are truly a stuck-up, snobbish, and rude form of life, but if you were to get out into the countryside, you would find that the average Frenchman or woman is not at all like a Parisian.
We can thank them for a wonderful cooking style, the start of our own wine industry, as well as some very nice wines of their own, the same with brandy, cognac, and champagne. We can thank them for cheeses, pastries, and other wonderful foods.
While we are on the subject, we can thank them for the assist in our own independence struggles, a not insignificant gift, along with the Statue of Liberty.
Get off your high-horse. I can't stand French Politics, but then again, our own politics often make me gag. So...

You are missing out on a lot of good people, the most romantic language in the world, and you are missing out on a non-prejudiced mind. Ciline Dion is French. Some of our most famous fashion designers are French. French bread with a little wine and cheese is great!!! Coming from a French family, my view may be a little slanted, but most people in my immediate family were and are church-going, fine people who would give someone the shirts off of their own backs. I learned laughter, good moral values, and how to decorate a nice home. My Mom was Swedish, and she taught me how to garden. My French Dad taught me how to cook some things I love. They made sure I got a good education and they clothed me well. They taught me to reach for more than they could teach me. Champagne is French, tasty pastries are French and French-Americans are wonderful people!!! Some of the most famous paintings were painted in France. Please, open your mind and heart!!! Oh, and the French made and patented a cheese grater with a handle and wheel which grates cheese very finely.

Actually, the French are not my favorite people, either. We have made excuses over the decades to allow for their behavior (or lack of same), and, regretfully, I now feel we just need to write them off as a cosmic error.

nicely maximum folk gained't do not ignore that you're feeling that way because you at the on the spot are not declaring this in each and every question you ask. It makes extra sense if something as "what veggie do you flavor the finest of all?" is lower than the cooking classification than interior the gay classification. accurate?
