No, I nursed all my kids. It is better to wean the child soon after you find out you are pregnant. Your new baby needs all the nutrients your body can give it. My milk did slow, that's when I discovered I was pregnant again. After the babies birth, my milk returned fully.

There are changes to the milk during pregnancy but you can still breastfeed. Towards the end of the pregnancy there will be a shift to colostrum and some babies may choose to wean themselves during this period... A drop in production can occur after the baby has been introduced to solids or has already begun to wean -- it doesn't necessarily mean pregnancy...

Diet is something that can definitely stop milk production. If she have been vomiting or just not eating due to morning sickness, I guess there could be connection.

I haven't heard of that. There could be other reasons the milk production has stopped. Has she talked to her doctor?

I am not sure if that should be the case. However, from my experience, no. Since breast feeding can go on for years, it would be naturally ineffectual for it to stop since women can have children one after the next. That would mean the previous child would starve. I mean, if we didn't have modern solutions.
