Why can't you have avatars that are a bit fatter? When they give you so much choice in clothes and things, why don't they give you a choice as to the body shape of your avatar? Because I'm on the larger side and I don't like the fact that my avatar has to be so skinny.

If there were larger avatars I think most people would still use the skinny ones anyway because of self-consciousness towards their weight. I still think there should be an option for it though. Another thing I've noticed, they don't even have an option for blue eyes!

I've been wondering that too. I guess a lot of people would still be using the skinny avatars even if they are chubbish or fat. But, those who want fatter avatars should be given a choice.

traditionally, as i recall, the true meaning of avatar included the view that they were "god realized" beings at birth sent down to earth to aid us nincompoops to get at least a bit of a clue. i think this view was especially prevalent in hinduism.check it out. i also seem to recall that they came in all shapes and sizes and guises . many were "large" and ,yet, somehow were far more evolved than the svelte runway ready ninnies they were helping.

because if there were fat ones, then 3/4 of them would be overweight...and then they wouldnt be attractive because of their personality when chatting in rooms, they would be known because they are fat...it is just safer this way...plus the fat ppl think that they are skinny, and the skinny ones think that they need to lose weight...when it is the opposite.

its silly, i think they just want to have it so that it has an idealistic look - silly really because even some of the hairstyles and the clothes styles do not vary much

Lets face it...a fat avatar isn't all that attractive or pretty.
