No scientific answers? That's a pretty big exclusion. I mean, just about anything is scientifically possible.
Really, if you exclude every possible scientific disaster. You are only left with impossible disasters. So, here is my list of impossible ways the world could end in no particular order:
1. The cheese pizza I flushed down the toilet last week mutates on contact with sewer water and attacks the nearest nuclear plant.
2. Dick Cheney goes crazy and just starts shooting people in the face.
3. God decides he's had enough and everything just goes POOF.
4. For no reason at all, everyone decides to declare peace and end all crime and wars. The police/army/gun unions all over the world loose their jobs and the world economy collapses.
5. The Cleveland Browns FINALLY win the Superbowl.

Don't think I would want to know. Better not to know so you could live life normally as possible instead of waiting for the fire, or whatever anyone else thinks. What makes anyone think that the world would end anyway? Don't be so gloomy.

God will come again and rid the world or evil by covering the earth in a ball of fire. but if you don't believe in God then global warming will wipe us all out like dinosaurs and create a new race of humans that's smarter and more advanced.

The world will be fully destroyed by fire.~
But first, peopel will be attacked by scorpion-like monsters that will have to power to stop them from killing themselves when they scream out in terrible torment. The sea will be filled with blood, 1/3 of the stars will fall on earth.

Giant tarantualas from space. They'll ride in on bouncing asteroids. I'm not sure what happens from there, but I know it doesn't look good and I'm pretty sure it involves that spastic guy from American Idol.
