I have been. Some friends & I had our own little series on local/public access years ago. We started it in the middle of our senior year of high school (graduated 2001). It was called Unreal & I guess you could classify it as kind of Sci Fi-ish. There were alot more people than we thought that watched it cause there were a few times we were all out somewhere together & were recognized...it was quite thrilling. We had 3 "seasons" of it plus a few more episodes that never quite made it on TV. This is because we stopped filming due to our lives changing & going in separate directions...some going off to school or getting married, etc.

I was on a local station once. The city was doing a homeless pets awareness week, and at the time I worked for the local humane society. The TV station asked my boss if someone could come down to the station, bring two animals, and talk to them about what the humane society does. I was told to take these two dogs, but wasn't told I was going to be on TV until I got there. I was nervous and I'm sure I looked idiotic because I was not prepared to be on TV, but it was fun.

yes... i worked as an extra on various tv shows & movies for 2 years while i was going to college. you make your own schedule, work the days that you want to & work the shos that you want to as long as you fit the criteria of the casting call. it's a really fun job to have if you live in los angeles... i would tell anyone who lives in LA to do it and experience it once just because i think that it is the easiest to do in this city more than anywhere else in the US. it's fun working on tv/movie sets and meeting celebrities, directors & producers when they are just normal people doing their jobs. and if you are able to get into SAG the pay is pretty good too.

I was on TV for running the Seward Mount Marathon. (not a real marathon, it's just the name of the mountain. The race goes up and down the mountain.) I was the youngest kid at 9 years old to do it and I did pretty well too. I didn't think it was a big deal, but they asked me questions like "What was it like?" I said a bunch of baloney like "It was really tough, sometimes I felt like giving up but I kept going." They seemed to like it though. I watch that on video now and shake my head...

Oh yeah - several times. When I was really young I was on a regional news programme about an event I was attending.
Been in the audience a few times, plus I was on one of those stock footage things they took on London Bridge whenever they talk about The City.
Does that make me a superstar?

My role was initially intended for movie-theaters only, it was a Quaker Oats commercial at age 7. It was shot in my home town Guayaquil, Ecuador.
I even got to see myself several times when going to the movies with friends, who ended up mocking me. (obviously)
Some years later, the ad ended up on TV, but I never actually saw myself on the small screen, some relatives and friends did.
