Hi!
I think that a regular diary is better if you want to keep something to yourself. You can put your private thoughts here and nobody can read them but you. However, I think that an online diary has its place too. I am using mine as kind of a family history but I'm not putting in private stuff like what I thought when certain things happened. I put in the story of what happened when one of my neighbors tricked me into taking a bite of a Jalapeno pepper. Of course I was only two or three at the time and he was three or four and it's funny now especially since he got a spanking because Mama called his mother and told on him and then when I went back outside I could hear him yelling. That was so funny! I'm putting things like that in my diary online. Also, I will put down lots of other things like what we did in the summer and things like that. An online diary could be turned into a place to share knowledge of your hobby. For example suppose that you know how to knit and I don't and I want to know how to knit and I know that you have put instructions on how to knit in your online diary. I can go there and learn how to knit. I think that an online diary has its place too.

I'd have to say a regular old handwritten diary is the best. It is something that you can easily hide from people and chances are you'd be hiding it from fewer people than online. An online diary is at risk from being ready by a ton more people like hackers and unscrupulous people and you run the risk of losing your entries due to technological glitches, bugs and malfunctions.

Everyone keeps saying Regular because no one can read it. That's not true. Infact, with today's online diaries, it's easier for someone to walk in your room and read your journal than it is for them to hunt down our online journal and read it (If you keep security settings that is.) I keep mine locked to the public, and even still I use nick names just incase. Plus, it serves as a great way to keep in touch (my friends out of town know everything that's going on me with and vise versa) and it's great to express yourself.

My vote is online journal.

Two good ones are Livejournal and Greatest Jounal. BOth have their pros and cons, but they work with each other so it's all relative. Hope this helps!

Regular one if you have a good hiding place for it. An on-line, somebody is bound to read it as no computer is completely safe. I'm always downloading from limewire and things my son downloaded from another source is always being downloaded. I don't know how limewire gets into these files. Anyways, like I said A regular one.

For me online works best. I am on the pc for most of the time and thus an online diary is only just a few clicks away.

A regular diary because if you get annoyed by someone, you want to write it but what happens if that somebody reads your online diary. Sh*t will probably hit the fan.
