hi guys,
just got a new ipod nano and i've had my ipod connected to computer so its fully charged. the songs have been downloaded onto the playlist "darren's selection". now i want to change the songs that are on my ipod but i have problems.
when i connect my ipod to the computer and itunes opens the ipod get an update the following message is displayed

" the ipod "darren" cannot be updated. the disk could not be read from or written to"

can anyone please tell me how to overcome this because its starting to drive me NUTS!!!

go on the apple website, under FAQ's that shud help u

there is an automatic update setting. go to Itunes. Pulldown Edit menu...click preferences......click ipod....de-select the Automatically Update all songs and playlists.

that should fix your problem.

I have a nano as well, I've never seen this probelm though. Try apple's website you maybe able to email your issue to them and they could help you solve it, or maybe refer to your book that came with it? Who knows what I did with mine. Good Luck!!!

im not exsactly shur how to fix your problem cause im in the same boat. i got an MP3 player and i dont know how to use it!! but when i asked my dad he was able to work it!! (even though like my dad like loves computers) anyways mabe you could ask someone who knows a lot about computers to help you out cause they would know what there doing and they could get the job done faster.
