I am 32, Girlfriend is 39, she wants a baby more than anything, I don't! We already have 3 kids, and are broke

We have no time or money for a new baby, please help. We must use artificial insemination also

Does she really want another baby or is she feeling insecure about her age or your relationship? She is already blessed with 3 children. Please talk with her and explain your feelings on this subject. Don't give in just because she wants another.

Have you asked her why she wants another child? Artificial insemination is costly. Are you worried that if you don't give in that she may seek other means to get pregnant? Maybe she should consider becoming a surrogate mother for a couple that wants a child. That way she satisfies her need to carry a child and at the same time blesses a childless couple with a baby.

It sounds like she is feeling insecure in this relationship. You might want to consider getting counseling or being honest with her. Sit down and look at your finances. Show her that it is tough to provide for the five of you, much less six.
I can understand her feelings as well. I married a widower who had a four and seven year old. I felt insecure during the first few years of marriage, so I thought a baby was the answer. He's 17 years older than me and had already had a vasectomy. He talked to me about the hardships that come with a new child. Plus, we went to counseling. Eight years later, I am pleased to say that we didn't have another baby and I love my 13 and 16 year old son and daughter like my very own.

Please be strong. And stick to your convictions. It sounds like your using your head.

Your also not married. Why keep having a house full of illegitmate children,with no stable means of taking care of them?. How will you pay for Artificial Insemination,if your broke?. "Planned Parenthood",will proved Condoms,and Birth Control Pills for free. I think it's time for both of you to check it out.

There's a difference between wanting a baby and being able to afford one.

What kind of life would you be providing for the baby and your other children if you chose to have another child (and at great cost).

Being a parent means putting your kids' needs ahead of yours.

If she's really missing being around babies, she could volunteer in a nursery or something.

The first thing you need to do if you have not already, is tell your girlfriend you do not want a baby. She needs to be able to move on or deal with that fact if you and her are to have a relationship.
