I'm not a chat room person, but I love yahoo answers... It feels good to share what I know with someone who just might actually wants to here it. And when I got my first "Best Answer"... I had to call a few people and share the news...They didn't know what I was talking about! Somehow it manages to rope in an array of interesting characters. And variety is the spice o life! And no matter what you go through, someone else has already been there, done that, passed or failed and can be a of "how to" or "how not too"

Yahoo answers are addicting, because you have the opportunity, to give another person your best and honest advice and at the same time, you're rewarded for it, with points.

good question.
i feel it is that way b/c you get real peoples views and it is better organised than google answers.
also the points systems
and the stupid stuff that people put up, no wonder it is addicting.

It is a sense of satisfaction in helping someone and gives far better results than playing solitaire all day long.
