Yeah. I dropped landbased and stayed on cell phone for 7 years now. Just make sure you measure your average minutes used and select the appropriate plan so you don't get surprising bill at the end of the month.

Also select the phones that allows you enough battery charges during the day. The new phones are capable of sustaining 3-4 hrs of talk time per charge which is more than enough for me.

Could be good if you go with the right carrier and get the right plan. I did the same thing and made sure that my plan has over 1000 mins that start at 7pm this works out good for me b/c I work untill 6am.

Excellent idea if you have a battery backup or if you are the only one that needs your phone.

Also, it means that you can not have a monitored burglar alarm. Can you elaborate what kind of rate or plan you are on?

I have no home phone, just cell, and I have no complaints. You just have to charge your phone a lot more.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea, if you're hardly home. It saves you money and a lot of time. I like it.
