Because its a stereo-type.They think it makes them look cool.I am a rocker and i dont wear black that often.Its also associated with being gothic.Which is another stereo-type since "goth" means "light" in Latin which is where the word originally came from!

not all rockers wear black, I personally don't always wear black. It depends on what kind of rock your talking about.

Cesar, black has long been considered the color worn by rebellious folks. The cowboy in the white hat is the "good one", while the black hat cowboy was evil. What about someone who is the "Black sheep " of the family? It is the color of darkness (emotional ) and rebelliousness.

I really dont know i ask myself that all the time i listen to rock and dont wear black.

because that is the style they like.
asking that would be like asking a prep why they wear bright colors.
