Why is everybody hating on each other so much just because of what they listen to? Its ok to have your own opinion but you dont have to disrespect people just because they like rap or rock or country or whatever else. You could say rap sucks or rock sucks but if you think about it all music sucks in its own way. Dont you think that you should be open to all kinds of music? The world would be boring if there was only one type of music. Tell me who your fav artists are in every genre. I like George Strait, Korn, and Jay-Z.

Human nature sucks huh? Some feel the need to put down to make them selves feel stronger or more supior than others (ex. ROCK RULES RAP SUCKS!!!). I know people suck. If people were more open, thats almost unfathomable. Its like saying ok if everyone stoped commiting crimes the world would be happy. True but immpossible. People will always put down people. Some people just don't see the world through a greater light.

Music is PASSION and genres don't confine me to what I listen to, but what does is passion and intellgence (yes, you can be in 2nd grade to rap about a butt, a gun, and some money.) Lyrics can be so captivating if they are beutiful and have so much meaning in few words. (not any thing thats like baby boy i love you, or im wearing my nikes wit my white t) The reason why some people listen to rock hate on rap is because most rap crumbles in comparison to the lyrics of great rock. Not alot of mainstream rock though. (Red Hot Chili Pepers, Nickleback etc) But not all "rockers" are awful and are rude. I understand people have their differences but secretly laugh those who like rap and i go, "hah, infect your ears more, while mine are being educated with modern poetry" Some rappers are good like some kanye, Fort Minor and some Jay-z.

Genres
Rock- Panic! at the Disco
Classical- Bach
Hip-hop/rap- Fort Minor
Country- none

People really should (underlined) practice patience and be open to genres of music. Music is all about expression, though some take it too hard on the knocking or being knocked on. Personally, I find country and rap not to my liking, and then a bunch of mainstream music. I think as long as artists don't preach stupidity, practice intelligence in their words and music, and don't give to simplicity when it comes to record labels...it can be a better place too.

Right now I listen to the two cds I just got: Dir En Grey (J-rock), and Moonsorrow (Finnish metal).

I agree, everyone should be opened minded about music, as well as everything. Life is too short to hate.

Kid Rock - Rock
Tim McGraw - Country
Nelly - Rap
The Temptations - Oldies
Andre Bocelli - Opera
