i was making out my registery and saw this incline pillow type mat that you use for your baby to lie on while sleeping.
i was just wondering if anyone used this and how well you think it worked for you!
i'm curious about the whole SIDS situation since there aren't supposed to be any pillows, etc in bed with baby.

thanks!!

We used an incline mat that was the width of the crib mattress and went under the sheet, not above it. It was a slight, gradual incline, so she couldn't roll, and she was about 3 months when we started to use it. We stopped using it when she could pull herself up, because I worried that the extra height would allow her to vault herself out of the crib! Our pediatrician said it was ok to use the incline, but not necessary.

Don't waste your time. The only reason a baby needs to sleep with it's head elevated is when they have congestion that needs to drain when they have a cold. They tend to roll on their face if it is too high. You can fold a blanket and place it under the top end of the mattress to slightly elevate the head of the bed if needed for free. That way they can buy you something you will really need.

My son has really bad reflux and he slept on an incline for at least 6 months. The incline helped, but we put blankets or pillows under his matress instead of a store bought incline. Pillows and/or blankets at home were free.

My daughter has one for both twins. They like it.
From birth to 9 months & they will turn to be on it.
Anything is worth a try.
