hCG levels are sometimes detected, outside the realm of a normal uterine pregnancy, in women who have an ectopic pregnancy, a miscarriage, a chemical pregnancy (a very early miscarriage), a trophoblastic tumor, a hydatidiform mole, or sometimes even ovarian cancer. It is important to get your serum hCG levels tested by your doc ASAP. Good luck and hope it all turns out ok.

From the research I've done, the chance of a false positive is extremely small due to the fact the the hormone that indicates pregnancy is only produced if you are in fact pregnant. On the other hand false negative results are more common although still quite rare.

I would strongly suggest making an appointment with you doc.

No, the hormone the pregnancy test detects is human betachorionic gonadotrophin (betaHCG) which is only produced by a pregnancy. So better start looking out those old baby clothes because you're about to become a mummy for the 7th time!!!

Go get checked, you might have a problem or you might just be pregnant which could be good or bad for you right now. You already have six children I think that you might be pregnant........ girl or boy which one do you prefer?

it could be an early warning of some forms of ovarian cancer, if you have health care, i would deffinatly see a doctor, espcially if you shouldnt be pregnant (havent had sex)... and just for a note... usually, in the vast majority of cases it is pregnancy, but HCG, the horemone referred to above can be produced in some cancers also
