If they are very important to you, send both, e-card enables u to customize contents and real card, at times you may not have get a card with your choicest contents, ensure definite delivery (whether or not they chek their mail periodically).

Depends on whom u r sending it too. A real card is more likely to be read.

The official etiquette answers is a regular, hand-written card. The e-cards are great. I do send them to my friends, especially if I find one they would really like. If it is someone important, or close to you, send a paper card. Thank you notes should always be hand-written notes. I hope this helps.

Real cards are better for close friends and relatives, but an e-card if you're late or have forgotten is better than nothing.
