if we go for a deep analysis of a dead body it is really very scaring to conclude this conclusion that this body stop functioning.even the heart is their and the blood is their then what happened or is their is something else which left the body and go somewhere else..................

"Life" in a human body is the summation of all the functions of the body working together- So, human life is sort of like a computer working- all the parts of the computer work to make the entire thing work- If the screen on a computer is broken, even if everything else works, the computer is not working. Your body is made of trillions of cells- you don't need all of them, by any means, to be alive, but you do need at the minimum for your brain to be alive. If you had a human body without a brain, then I don't know that you could consider that "alive", even if blood was pumping. Life for an animal as large as a human is a team effort- If the team stops working, then there is no life for the human animal, even if most of the cells are still alive. After a person dies, there are still many human cells that are alive in the body-some can be rescued even a day after the person dies. But, it's not just the collection of cells, its the whole, complex, working process that gives us life. If a car has even one piston that breaks, you have a broken car, even if all the other thousands of parts might work...the car depends on all the systems working together properly, and so does the human body.

The electricity in your cells arises from charge separation across the plasma membrane (outer surface) of cells. You use chemical energy derived from ATP produced in metabolism to pump ions up their concentration gradients (normally material flows down it, as in diffusion). This in effect produces a bank of stored energy based on the work you did (the ions cannot flow back because they are charged and the plasma membrane is oily) there sodium ions are higher on the outside of the cell than the inside and potassium is higher on the inside than the outside. This difference in charge across the membrane alone produces a voltage (called the "resting potential").

Then man things can happen that break down that voltage difference, such as a neurotransmitter binding to a channel that opens a hole in the membrane. These charges (ions) can flow through that hole and break down the voltage across the membrane. Often times this breakdown gains momentum and causes more holes to open, and the voltage change itself can open some of these holes. This is what happens when a neuron "fires" an electrical charge. It's complicated (I've simplified it here) and amazing.

Your nerves, brain, muscles, and heart do the most interesting electrical behavior but most of your cells are electrical in one way or another.

Think of your body as a machine where all the parts must function properly for the "machine" to function. The rule of heart is to pump blood in order to keep the blood pressure normal. Death can occur due to other parts of your body not working properly which in turn cause the heart to stop. To learn more on how death can occur due to heart abnormality visit the link below.

every organ has a vital role to play and we could not live with out it functioning as it should but the brain is the main organ that controls every thing and our every action ,when you go into coma its the brain that is not functioning , but blood is necessary for the brain lack of oxygen in breathing can cause brain damage the lungs do the work of supplying fresh and puryfing the air the heart is pumping the blood every organ is vital and every organ depends on the other, when you die all organs stop functioning and the flesh remains but what is the spirit goes to heaven thats our faith ,

yes, because on CSI they know that the heart is the one thing that is keeping everything up and running. so if our blood is being pumped by our heart then i guess that it al goew back to that one place. our heart. to answer your question the one true thing that is keeping the human race alive is the precious heart.

NeuroProf:

I never thought much about where the electrical
impulses come from that keep our heart beating.

Maybe you can answer this.
Where is the electricity generated?
And How?

What is the difference between the brain and the mind?

If there is no cognition, it's just a big blob of protoplasm.

Life is a complex set of biochemical reactions. When any part malfunctions beyond repair and it is extremely critical then its time up.

Clearly something left and equally clearly did not come back.
Where it went and why it did not return are the valid questions.
