I want to make a background/layout type thing for my xanga and I want to create a picture for the background that stretches across the entire screen without repeating itself. How many pixel things (or whatever measurement) across and tall is a xanga site?

The layout is code and has nothing to do with graphics.
The background image is a graphic.
Once you find a code and paste it over the current code,then you will have to find and upload a background image if you do not like the one that came with the layout.
Tiling backgrounds load much faster than a large image becausethere is less for the browser to load.

it depends on what your computer is formmated with
if it is 8000X600 or if it is 1280X800
all you have to do is keep testing it
i personally use 1280x800
