If an English oak tree was planted in Barbados would the tree still?

lose it's leaves in the November. And if not why aren't we growing loads of Oak trees in Barbados

Any plant will ultimately adapt to its envoronments season, although it is unlikely that the tree would survive the heat and tropical storms

The climate is not suitable.
