What is the most random saying you grew up hearing your parents say?
My mom used to always say
"Oops you dropped your glasses!"
Still not sure what it means.

My parents used to say, "Don't try to teach your Grandma to suck eggs".

I think they were trying to tell me that I shouldn't teach anyone who knows alot more than I did, but at the time they just sounded crazy.

My dad used to say, "Waste not, want not". He would say it every time I didn't want to finish everything on my plate. Since I didn't want brussel sprouts or broccoli in the first place, I didn't feel all that bad about wasting them by putting them in the garbage (shhhh---or feeding them to the dog).
I think your mom's phrase means if you've lost your glasses you can't see the situation clearly. Just a guess.
My grandfather used to say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Pretty self explanatory. But I've used it myself quite a bit over the years- especially when companies have a great product and then come out with a cheaper version and call it 'new and improved'.
Have a great day!!! :)

My mom still says she's going to the shap and shap. She means the grocery store. No one knows why she says this.

Well, I dunno about random, but the saying that bugged me the most was "he/she lucked out" when something lucky happens. If you luck out, doesn't that mean you have no luck? That'd make sense if the person got hit by a car, but if they narrowley missed getting hit, it doesn't seem to apply. Just one of those stupid sayings.
