I hate to say this, but there are millions of them around the world. There is really no exact number of the existing email accounts out there. And many more are being opened up now as I finish writing this answer.

It's impossible to know for sure. It's like asking how many webpages there are...There are people creating accounts everywhere all the time, and anybody can start a mail server. It would be impossible to track. And servers can be set to accept anything@host.com.

1000s of e-mail account in the world..cannot be numbered. Every country has their own e-mail id depending upon number of service providers apart from international e-mails like yahoo, hotmail etc
