I've noticed quite a few players that do not sing their countries National Anthem. How many have you noticed not singing?

I don't like when they do that, they look stupid and everyone notices. I notice the guys who do sing and always gain respect for them just for being able to sing in front of everyone else.

I'll tell something here .
a few years ago the Italian newspapers said that most of the players do not know the National Anthem .

Jehovah's Witness and some other denominations do not take the oath or sing the Anthem. Their belief is that they do not belong to a nation but only to God.

Gary Neville never sings the national anthem, he seems to psyche himself up for the rest of the game.

Honestly, who really cares?? They may not be singing it because they are self conscious about singing. Also I just have to say... I love my country but that doesn't mean I have to like that song. I wouldn't sing it either - for both reasons mentioned. It most likely has nothing to do with how they feel about their country. So again; who really cares?

Argentina's players don't, but that has nothing to do with patriotism and everything to do with the fact that what you hear is not the national anthem (It's the all-instrumental intro!).

So because a player gets picked for his country, that means (for England especially) that they have to be a royalist and believe in god? Well I'm not a royalist, and I dont believe in god, so if I was picked to play for England then I also wouldn't sing the anthem.

only imported players do for example 16 CAMORANESI Mauro [Italy], his actually from Argentina playing with Italian team
