I have a pet Netherland Dwarf. His name is Speedy. I got him in November/05. This is my first dwarf bunny.

My first rabbit, Bugs, not sure what kind he was. He reminded me of Snoopy, color wise. He lived for about 3-4 years. Then, I had Boogie, she was the color of smores, all mixed up. She was around for about 5 years. Even survived Hurricane Isabel. We both were rescued from my house that was flooding.

The one thing I have discovered that is most important: They all have unique personallities.

I never thought I was a bunny person. Bugs came into my life cause I didn't want anything bad to happen to him and the rest is history.

I've had mine for about 5 years now and I should really find him a new home. I have an 11 mo. old baby that is just dying to stick her hands in the cage.

My rabbit is in my living room in a cage (don't have room anywhere else) which isn't a good place as he does stink to high heaven. I use pine shavings, but the litter needs to be cleaned out almost daily. He, too, needs periodic nail trims every six weeks at $20 a pop at the vet. He also needs to be brushed 2 - 3 times a week or he gets hairballs stuck in his throat. Yes, they are a quiet animal, but they are high maintenance!

I had a pet rabbit for a while (about 3 months) and I wouldn't recommend getting a rabbit because they stink so bad! I mean if you're up for cleaning the cage everyday (since they poop a-lot) then I would not reccomend getting one. Email if you have any questions...

Well, I don't personally. I had a friend once who had pet rabbits though. My friend and her sister would sing "Hands Across the Water", by Paul McCartney, and the rabbits would squeal like crazy. It was hilarious.

I have four. I've had two for a year and a half, one for five months and one for two months. The newest two were rescues. The first someone just left by the road and he is so sweet. Domestic rabbits cannot fend for themselves in the wild. The other one was a neglect case, nearly starved to death.
