First click your display image in the main MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger window. Flip over your contact card with the double-arrow button. At the bottom of the "back" of the contact card, click "Share my Contact Info."
That will take you to Windows Live Contacts, where you can change all your contact info and choose who gets to see what.
You can also get there by clicking "Contact Info" on the front of the card and then "Edit" in the upper right, but I'm not sure that always shows on the front - sometimes it has your latest MSN Spaces entry.
But if you do see it there, you'll also (hopefully) see "Profile" below it. Click that, and then you'll see your current profile. Click the arrow at the bottom of your image (which is at the top), and click "Edit my profile" on the drop-down menu. In the window that pops up, edit anything you want and then click "Save" at the bottom.
A little confusing? You bet. But you'll get used to it. And if not, hopefully it'll get easier as everything upgrades to Windows Live.
