The weather would be a problem; macaques could probably manage as they do in Japan. Food would be another problem.
Wallabies have escaped from wildlife parks and survived for over 20 years in breeding colonies, so I guess if they found a suitable food source and somewhere to winter up some types of monkey could too.

If its true that large cats like pumas (e.g beast of bodmin) have managed to survive in the wild after being released, then I presume monkeys could also survive in the wild. I'm sure monkeys would make contact with humans though and eventually be re-captured.

Assuming the Police/some agency won't try to remove them of course. It depends on the type of monkey. I'd be willing to bet they could survive for a bit, yeah. Winter would probably wipe em out though.

Alot of animals do survive when released into the wild. If the animal is not from this place they can end up doing alot of damage to the environment and the plants and native wildlife suffers because of this.

nicely in the starting up you dont truly pick to own one. They arent solid pets, the take a lot extra time and atteition than a canines or cat, or possibly a poultry, they could carry transmittable to human dieases. I heard that would want to favor a liscence of a few type. why not attempt adopting one from an somewhat good organinzation that would want to help you out. ut i imagine they're unlawful there.

I don't think they would last very long.
The climate in winter would wipe them out as they are not native to colder climates.
Chimps are from Africa & Orang-Utans are form Asia.
Also, they are all vegetarians & eat mostly fruit & because of the climate they would find it difficult to obtain enough food.
Also, because of the size of the country there is not enough forested space for them to live in peace away from humans.

SOme theiving kinds of monkeys can live there for shure... but the police will probably get them kicked out because they steal food, and if it's something else they steal, you have to throw food at them to get it back.
