I Am Very Very Irregualr When It Comes To My Periods. I Can Have A Period That Lasts For A Few Days Then I Start Again A Week Later (Last For 7 Days) Then Have Another Period 2 Weeks Later, And So On And So On. It's So Hard To Know When I'm Ovulating. Even Though I'm Irregular, Will An Ovulation Test Help Me, Or Am I Better Off Just Guessing When I'm Ovulating?

Yeah, ovulation predictor kits can certainly help. They are in the pregnancy test aisle.

Also, irregular periods sometimes mean you are not ovulating. Luckily, there are drugs that can fix this! Talk to you doc. about it. It's good to go for a "preconception check-up" anyway just to make sure everything is in working order.

Best wishes!

You need first to determine if you are having *any* periods, and, if so, which times you bleed are periods and which aren't. You *can't* have a period every 2 weeks or less, so at least some of these aren't periods. You may be having a period, then ovulation bleeding, then another period. Without distinguishing, you will never have any luck with an ovulation kit.

Before you try anything else, I would suggest you read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler for information on how to chart your fertility signs to know what is going on. It is *much* more accurate than using an ovulation kit, and it is *free*.

I hope this helps. Good luck!!

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!
