I don't think there is such a thing as best brand. It depends on what fits, and fits correctly and if it give your feet the right amount of support.

a great place to go for any kind of shoe is runtex. they look at your feet and see how you run, and they'll tell you the exact shoe you need. im pretty sure they can tell you for basketball too. www.runtex.com

Oh I have Nikes. They are hightops. I play B-ball in them everyday and run. NIke Airs. Theyre the color black.
