I'm asking on behalf of a guy friend. He really likes this girl and has gone out on a couple of dates with her but he feels insecure due to the horrible acne scars ( puberty was not kind to him). so I want to find out what measures can he take to have better looking skin?

Vitamin E!!!

That is the best solution to vanish scars...
I have used it and it works so well....
It doesn't matter what form, just ask your pharmacist or doctor what % you need and that is the cheapest easiest way to get rid of them!

Stretch marks and scars can be effectively minimized using Mederma regularly, a natural loofah sponge( with cleanser making small gentle circles) , vitamins K & E in seperate oils applied after loofa scrub every night. He should use a good sun screen as to much sun will darken the scars quickly.

There is this scar removal creme called Merderma. It costs about $27.00 but it works miracles. My cousin fell off a motorcycle and she used the cream three times a day for two weeks and you can barely see any trace of a scar. Plus I used it on the acne I get on my back and now my back is clear and you would never know I used to have terrible breakouts.

Neutrogena makes a mask called Acne Mark Fading Peel. It's worked really well for me, but it might be too much for very sensitive skin. If his scars are really bad, he might want to see a dermatologist, who can perform laser treatments or a chemical peel. These treatments can be rather expensive however.

BTW, sunlight makes scars worse, so wearing a sunscreen with UVA/UVB protection will keep the scars from becoming permanent (I use Neutrogena; they make a formula with something called Helioplex that blocks both types of rays).

Your friend can work on smoothing out his complexion by using a microderm abrasion twice a week. Mary Kay cosmetics sells a Microderm Abrasion set, that with continued use twice a week, will smooth out the surface of the skin. Your friend can purchase it at www.marykay.com/maxmccarthy

Best solution is to go to a dermatologist. They can look at his skin and decide which kind of medicine is the best for him and his scars. Good luck!!
