What happens when you try to download iTunes? Well, go to www.microsoft.com and check out their security page. You can use those tools to check for viruses and clean them up.
If it still doesn't work, it might be a lot of adware, so go to http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ and download ad-aware and run that to clean up adware.
If that doesn't work either, then I recommend getting a copy of your Operating System, formatting your hard drive, and reinstalling your operating system.

If you think this is all too much hassle, well, too bad. It's what happens when you don't protect your computer well enough. Don't go to websites that have questionable credibility such as porn sites and "FREE STUFF!!!!" sites.

are you sure it's a virus and your not using a windows XP and above computer with a limited account?

ok assuming that you have admin rights for your computer go to www.trendmicro.com, www.mcafee.com or www.symantec.com and browse for the online scan utility they wil scan your system and either clean your system or tell you how to clean it yourself.

If you do not have admin rights then your system administrator may have blocked you from doing certain things online like downloading software etc.

if you don't know if your account is set as administrator the chances are you are not set as administrator and will have to ask the person with adminrights to set your account to admin so you can download the software that your talking about.

see start, control panel, users and your account name will show you if your account is administrator or limited account. Remeber only an administrator can create another adminisrator.

once your system has been scanned for viruses and other malware if clen then no action needs to be taken.
but if the scan does report and clean/remove any malware you need to run system resore to create a new restore point for your system (admin accounts only can do this as far as i'm aware I admit i may be wrong on this point).
now use system clean up to delete all prior system restore points failure to remove old restore points can cause the virus to re-infect your system.

email garylsmith1973@lineone.net (quoting yahoo answers in the subject line or you may be default blocked by my spam filter) if you need further advice.

First, delete all your temporary internet files, history, and cookies.

Next, go to Add/Remove programs in control panel and get rid of anything that looks suspicious. If you're not sure about something, leave it.

Then, download these virus scanning programs and run them in Safe Mode in this order:

Stinger
AdAware
SpyBot Search & Destroy

Good luck!

select 'run' type "msconfig"
a window must open with name "System Configurations Utility"
select "start up" tab
uncheck that virus named program
(this will remove program from getting staterd after reboot)
get the file name of that virus , find where its is in the system then delete :)
