Living! I was told I would not live to see the end of my childhood due to a birth defect. I was also told, once I got that far, that attempting to have kids would kill me. I had 4! I have been told I could not do a great many things, at my own peril and have done all but 2 and here I am! My goal is not to cheat death but to show that nothing is impossible. By the way, I am now 33 years old!
A second goal that did not happen to be a goal I had in mind until it was given to me, is to give back and change lives for the better. I took in a troubled teen about 3 years ago and in less than 6 months she went from being tossed between homes and failing school and getting in trouble on a daily basis, to straight A's, involved in school sports and helping with our kids' soccer teams and not getting in trouble at all! She was never truely that bad to being with but her parents were not exactly people that had any business having kids! The trouble was them more than her! I am extremely proud of the difference I was able to make in a life that mattered.

one day I saw a really dirty, juicy strawberry on the ground and I almost brushed it off and ate it, but I thought there had to be a cleaner strawberry around somewhere so I waited. Later that day after hearing a motivational talk on how our beliefs follow us whereever we go, they served delicious clean strawberries after ward and its the only time they ever have served strawberries. I'm really proud of the fact that I held out for something better and it payed off.
