generally, but expensive doesnt always mean better. check the tech specs of each sound card, and a cheaper one may end up being a better one. though more expensive ones are usually better made.

no matter how expensive or good quality your sound card is it can only do so much. you might also need better speakers.

it could be possible but only if it is as per your requirment
do one more thing if you are using xp then in sound and audio devices in contro pannel in advance button change them in to laptop mono speaker and in the same place in performance button change them to good but default will be best ok
it will genrate extra sound effacts (extra base)
