No I never vote Democratic, the Republicans freed the slaves, and give blacks equal rights to vote, some risked their careers to get it done, also the 19th amendment women's suffrage was added to the constitution, by Republicans

Demo crates apposed these Amendments

To add to Cosax answer (excellent, btw), your logic is flawed, especially when one considers that the Democratic Party has more Blacks (and Latinos) than the GOP, specifically because their concerns are better represented. It is true that there were certain members of the Dem. Party who were even members of the KKK, but parties, like people, evolve. Using your rhetoric strategy one could ask, would you vote for a party that bugged Watergate and stole files from a psychiatrist?
To eliminate one party completely from consideration is a flippant (and unhelpful) response to what ails our elective process. Better to involve more, research more, be better informed so that we can actually elect leaders that represent us.

I don't vote party lines. I vote based on who I think is the better candidate and who might actually represent like they are supposed to. Parties are screwing up our politics.

Look at what voting Republican did for our contry. . .

In case you haven't noticed, both Kennedy and MLK are dead from a bullet. Let's look at the current president - lying, invasion of privacy, corrupt administration. . . And he got caught at it!

That party no longer exists. Just as people change so do the parties.

Both parties are guilty of gerrymeandering.

No, I would never vote for the Republican Party. If you're not a wealthy white male, they have no use, and no help, for you.
