you see I got this virtumonde thing when I ran the anti-spy
and I can't delete it. anyway how can I delete?

i just downloaded one the other day. first you need to go to www.lavasoft.com, and become a beta tester. then, they will have 3 things for you to download and run. one of them is a virtumonde scanner. it will put the virtumonde found in a folder, and then you zip the file using winzip, and e-mail it as an attatchment to lavasoft (all the instructions are given at the site). then you delete it from your desktop where the scanner puts it.

I have actually done this. You need to find the file that is causing you the problems. Boot your computer off the Operating System installation CD (to bypass the script that loads virtumode) and then delete the dll or exe file in question. That is the easy way to do it. Otherwise, it is quite tricky to find the PID and stop the program by its PID and delete it. Go to http://www.antivirus.com and they have some good virus removal tools for this virus. Good Luck!
