now- a days, we are compelled to watch two episodes back to back on wednesdays, and wait for the movie, or put off the t. v.! they also thrust it on us even on sundays, when we would like to watch some good movies! sex and the city is nothing but these 4 sex-crazy women hunting men for pleasure! i wonder how they are not afflicted with hiv so far, or may be they have, already, who knows? do you think it represents an urban american social buttrfly woman, or it is just sarah parker's personal fantasy, thinking she is the sexiest woman around, and knows good sex, as advertised on those buses?

it might have gone off the air, and we in india are of course watching reruns, but my point was, the time slot. i am not lazy to put off the channel, as some one remarked, but tell me, how can one wait after 12 midnight, just to watch a movie, when the convenient time is about 11 night or so, when star, and also hbo used to telecast their night movies? because they thoughtlessly stuff this sex and the city, we lose our patience, and due to repeatition, it's not even worth watching, for heaven's sake! parker has gone nuts, wearing all those weird wigs, and which american female uses outdated diaphrams, not to conceive, as in one of the most stupid episodes, the damn thing is supposed to have got stucked in one of the characters' blasted vagina! hell, i think hbo has run out of good programmes, and think indians can watch any rubbish lying down!

It isn't SJPs fantasy world, she is married with a husband, I'm sure she holds no illusions to some other life. The entire premise of the show was based of the book "Sex and the City" by Candace Bushnell. I think the show is hilarious and it deals with a lot of things women go through. But like any television show its over exaggerated. I see triats of the four girls in my friends and I, they talk like my friends and I, its a show based on 4 self-confident women and their lives. Of course sex is going to be thrown around. The fact of the matter is they all did great jobs portraying their respective characters and it showed some women that it is okay to talk about/ want sex. If you don't like it, don't watch it. If you do, rent/buy the seasons, its way better when its not edited for basic cable tv.

1. Sex & the City is FICTIONAL
2. Sarah Jessica Parker is not the creator of the series, it was based on the writings of author Candace Bushnell
3. If you dont want to watch reruns you have the power to change the channel. (The series ended a few years ago)

I loved watching the shows, and I think it boosted those 4 actresses to stardom.

To defend Sarah Jessica Parker, Sex in the City is not her personal fantasy. She was originally an actress, and later producer, of the HBO television show.

If you don't like watching it, change the channel.

And, for those who didn't know, Americans aren't always like the characters you see on American television shows. Many of us are normal folks who like to watch such shows because they are not like our lives.

I feel attracted somewhat to Sarah Jesica Parker but I don't follow Sex and the City. I watched a little bit once and it bored the hell out of me.

That show went off the air a couple of years ago. You're watching reruns for heaven's sake. Get off the couch and get a life!

the show is funny, my friends and i watch the re-runs sometimes...it's original and we also watched shows like Seinfeld and friends.

Better this fluff than the overly serious dramas that's being shown.

Most of us want to smile or laugh out loud...and Sex & City sure helped some of us....do just that.
