I believe that is exactly what the meaning of life is: what it means to you. So many different religions and cultures all have their own versions of the meaning of life when all in all in the long run the meaning of life is what you make of it.
If you are a religious person it will most likely be something about whatever god you worship and how he sees you living life. An alcoholic may see the meaning of life as making sure where their next drink comes from, while a mother's answer would probably be "my children"
The meaning of life in my opinion is just that, what you think your life means and what you pursue while you are still alive.

I would define the meaning of life as the reason for existence. I'm not saying there is one but, to me, knowing the meaning of life would be knowing to what end I exist.

I guess my reason to exist would be to roam the Earth until the Bruins win the Stanley Cup again and then I'm good to go.

Life, is expect the unexpected. Life is to never really know the answers, because if we did, then it wouldn't be all that exciting. Life is Love, we all aspire to have it, give it and hold it. Life is to believe in the greater good of humanity

To me the meaning of life is to do my part to make life better for future generations, for the other beings on this planet, and in doing this I am perpetuating a better life for myself. It is amazing how far one can get on common sense, courteousy, and honesty (especially when mixed with humility).

Our purpose in life, on earth, is to learn what our souls need to learn so that one day, if we choose to, we may continue the journey and join with God. It may take several lifetimes. Some will never learn the lessons they need to. Some will choose to be reborn so they may stay with loved ones.
