Because no matter how else you lose a person, you still have a chance to see them again. When somebody passes, you know you will never be with them again (unless you're christian and then you will still never see that way again). Its normal and everybody that loses a loved one has to deal with the same thing. Don't be afraid to talk to somebody if you need to. The pain never goes away, it only becomes tolerable.

Although most of us accept the fact that we are only here for a period of time, we naturally form bonds with others- emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc.

Once these bonds are formed it is hard dealing with it ending especially if it ends by death because of its finality- at least where this life is concerned.

It matters not whether we believe in life after death, etc. the fact is it is hard to accept that the person is no longer here NOW.

The best way I have found in accepting losing a loved one is that you celebrate the life and the time they were given and comfort yourself with the joy of having had them be a part of your life.

First off, I want to say that i'm very sorry for your loss. this is never an easy process, although it is a human response to death. You are connected to the people you love on a very deep level. They are very important part of your life and when you lose them, that connection is severed and it leaves you with and incredible sense loss. Your heart grieves for that loss and it is often times hard to comprehend ever feeling complete again. However, all is not lost. Though that person is gone from this earth, they are not gone completely from you. They will continue to live in your heart and in your memories. Your family and friends are still here with you and in time the pain of your loss will lessen. Keep God close to your heart and trust in him that he will not give you anymore than you can handle. Time and love heals all wounds.

It is so hard because no matter what you will never see that person again excepy for the memories you hold close to your heart. My mom died in 2004 and in some crazy way she has been preparing me for this. That is why I am able to handle this a little bit better.

Because someone you love. Is taken away from you. I read that some people that have died and came back, see all there family and friends crying, but they feel so tranquil, that it does not bother them at all. I have noticed when i dream about someone that i know that died. they always seem to be at there prime of life and happy. Believe me time does heal all wounds, some just take longer.

It puts your body in shock because we can't comprehend death and losing someone we love. We actually take our loved ones and friends for granted because one of these days, all of them will have there turn to go.

Because you have been conditioned to feel grief , if you have a religious preference that believes that people go to a paradise after death then you should be happy for them not sad.

because of the reality that you must live the rest of your life without them. Death is easier on the one who dies than it is on everyone around them.

Because you relise that wherever you expect them to be, no matter how long you wait, and feel like they should be there, they aren't, and won't be. I lost my best freind and i won't get to see him for a really long time.
