In what context do you gotta say it for it to be a federal offense? Or it doesn't matter, as long as you say it you broke the law? What if it's in a slang style like "she's the bomb" or talking about a video game like saying "you gotta throw the bomb at him to kill him". Is airport security a little overboard now a days?

Shouldn't it be looked at case by case basis, is there an age limit of if a child 10 years of age says it, he goes to the big house too.

It DOESN'T matter...

The Department of Homeland Security(and its Transportation Security Administration) WILL see to it that you WILL be prosecuted for just even whispering it to a friend at ANY airport!!!

Whether at LAX, McCarran(Las Vegas), Hartsfield(Atlanta), or whatever, this WILL NOT be tolerated...

Just a friendly warning that the TSA does NOT approve of ANY humorous conversation at the airports!!!...

In the current climate, I don't think anybody can be too safe! I think if you were to say the word in the context you mentioned you won't have a problem, unless there's so jack-*** on security.

Just don't be ignorant and say it. If you can't go for a few hours without saying the word bomb...something is wrong with you.
