Stories from trips to Cancun?

Question

Anybody have any good stories from a trip to Cancun , Cozumel or anywhere else in that region?

I'm making a webpage on the topic ( http://www.daylon.com/cancun/ ) and would appreciate any stories you're willing to share

I just returned from vacay in Cacun and Isla Mujeres. The best night was my first night in Isla Mujeres. It is a small island a short ferry ride from Cancun. The tourists are mostly European, which I prefered. It is a very quaint place. My sister and I went to a bar and met some people from Switzlerland and the Netherlands. We closed the bar down and we ended up buying more beer from some local guy after hours. Then, we wandered the cobblestone streets and stole a bicycle taxi...which is wrong...so we returned it. We found a stray dog and named it Alec Baldwin. We thought the entire night was hilarious. The lines given to us by the locals all week: Are you real? and Thank you, Santa Claus!

I have been to Cancun twice and Cozumel once. There is not much to do or see in Cozumel except beach and water sports activities like scuba and snorkle. We took a tour of Cozumel and didn't see anything we would want to go back to. Beaches are nice and there is a little shopping in town, but that's it.

Cancun is a great place as far as I am concerned. It has great hotels and restaurants and a new big shoppinh mall. I love being able to just go out of the hotel and catch one of the busses which run continuously up and down the hotel district. You can go everywhere on them for about a dollar.

We took a tour to Chichenitza the last time there. I made the reservation with "Best Day" tours online. They do a good tour. The first trip I did the Booze cruise on the Lagoon and the Jungle cruise across the lagoon to the open sea to snorkle. Next time I will do Excarat.
