Well if you were eating s**t you'd be chewing on it and trying not to get it near your tongue, so the taste wouldn't be as bad (NOT THAT I'D EVER DO IT!!!) and you'd be trying not to get it on your cheek insides, so it looks like a grin. Try chewing a big bite of a sandwich without it touching your tongue or cheeks, look in the mirror and see your expression.
That it a "s**t eating grin".
Although it is used to mean a huge insincere smarmy selfsatisfied expression I believe....

First thing first...YOU must eat S..T ...then when you finally "get it " you will surely start grinning...we all do ...maybe not the first or second time...but eventuly, hopefully you will. Then when you see someone with "that" kind of grin on there face you will know "exactly" what they have done..."takes one to know one".Second thing... don't ask me how I know "the grin"- and being nuts has nothing to do with it- just trust me on this one, the proof is in the"pudding"!
