it depends on what it is you can't let go on how long it will take to let go but the most important thing to do is to give yourself time.
You have to aim for something to help take from your mind if feel as if you can't be motivated because of being dogged by it. Fill your time and empty your head and thoughts by concentrating on what you are doing.
Do something to make you feel good, whether sports, learning or whatever but best if got a reward at the end, achievement.
Think of your happiness and not what has happened and what has gone. You are keeping it alive in thought and preventing yourself from living because of the past.
We can drag the past along with us but that shadow will never go away, just best accepting whatever it is and then allowing the shadow to follow rather than you follow it.
Good luck, live for YOU and not what you can't have or what has happened, what ever it is you can't let go of, but it is only you that is going to be unhappy because of it.
God Bless You and I wish you all the best in the future.

When you live in the moment, it's because your adrenaline is pumping and you can't think of anything else but to "let it all go". So in order to do what you ask without taking drugs, you have to enjoy what you're doing and not be afraid of what other people think. If you enjoy it and you're not afraid, it's easier to let it all go and you'll start to live in the moment.

i am not so sure how this relates to dancing however, if you want to truly live in the moment. just go for it. do not think twice, just do it. living in the moment is having the capability to make split time decisions without regretting it later. so if you see something you like or want, do it, go for it and don't regret it

Best way I know to be in the moment is to go surfing. You can not be distracted by anything when you are committing to drop in on a sizable wave.

Baby steps in learning to let it all go works best, training yourself not to dwell on things takes a while but it can be done. If you can learn to recognize disturbing thoughts you can learn to change those thoughts into something more comfortable.

Stop worrying about the future, and stop agonizing over the past.

Keep in mind that what's most important is what's right in front of you, and that you should do your all to appreciate it for all it's worth.

Milk it, baby.

You have to be intelligent. Then you just do it. If you live in a trailer park or watch 'Jerry Springer' you cannot do it.
