I dreamed of a big star who played a mean guitar, who always ate in the steak bar and loved to drive in his Jaguar.
I sell shoes.

My dream was to become a doctor, a psychiatrist to be more exact, and then get married and have a rewarding life
My reality is that I married a wonderfully loving man from another country. He is a pilot, and there is no need for me to work. We have two beautiful children and have a terrific lifestyle. We don't go without anything, we are able to travel Europe 2-3 times a year, and I am able to visit my parents at least once a year. Plus we live in a beautiful country and our house is just steps from the Mediterranean Sea. Life is good!!

My dream was to be an interpreter for the United Nations. Of course, I was a bilingual child in New York City, so that could have colored my goals.
My reality is a federal job and marriage to a wonderful man, and leading a life that is more fulfilling than I could have ever dreamed in my young, naive mind.

good question...i always dreamed of being a pilot and having 2 twin girls and living in California. Let's see: I have a boy and a girl, a year and half apart; I live in Maine; and I'm an administrative assistant. Other than having my kids, not quite the dream job or living in the dream location.

Mine was to be a teacher, and I would still like to pursue it. I'm only 22, so I'm not that old, but I need to get my butt in gear.
My reality is: working at a movie rental place for part-time, married and have a beautiful boy, and live in a small house. But my husband has a great job!

I wanted to be a veterinarian, but after working in an animal hospital, I decided that I couldn't take some of the harsh realities of it, so now I just own two dogs.

I wanted to be an author of childrens books and now I am a stay -at -home mother of 4 with a bachelors on journalism, english and public relations. My husband, who has a GED is coming up on his 26th anniv with the same company and makes about $75,000 per year. He is awesome and has trained with some of the best minds his company has to offer him. I am so blessed to be able to stay at home with our 2 youngest kids. The oldest are out of the house now and all we have left are 10 and 4.

I wanted to be an astronaut. Now I truly just want to be a SAHM but I work full time and though I am considered an educated professional I couldn't care less what my job is. Its all just a paycheck. That is reality.
