Could also be a form of Athelete's Foot caused by a fungus. Try over-the-counter LAMISIL Cream & use as directed. Recommended by my podiatrist & it works wonders!!

Getting the dirt out will be pretty hard, if the dirt stays there after a long soak, than chances are you wont be able to get it out any other way unless you want to sit there and actually pick it out. But if your feet are that cracked it could be more dead skin than actual back yard dirt.

Scrub and soak them so they are as clean as you can get them. And put a healing lotion on them like cocao butter or somthing 2 or 3 times a day. And DONT wear sandals or flipflops, or go outside barefoot for atleast a few weeks.

They should be fine. If nothing else works you can go to any store and get heavy medicated lotion for super cracked feet.

There is a house hold tip to get soft feet rub the used away lemon peel for some time for few days this will soften your skin .

massage your feet with warm olive oil.treat the hard skin of the heel with a pumic stone to dis lodge all dead skin. wipe the skin especially around the toes dry.
then after bathing apply some moisturiser to you feet.
because foot skin will not have oil glands so when you takes bath the skin will automatically becomes dry , so try to apply some moisturiser to your feet. and before going to bed apply moisturiser and ware socks. Cracks not only makes your feet look ugly but also sybolizes bad personality(lack of care and hygine)so try to spend money on pedicure if possible.

This is just like me. I had no problems and then out of the blue, cracked heels! I know this sounds worse than you expected but I believe that this is actually a form of athletes foot. There is a cream on the market, you can find it anywhere, and it mentions this, I cant remember the name but it starts with a K and it is also sold to diabetics bcuase they have poor feet circulation.
by the way, i pumice every day now too.

Wash your feet really well. Then apply a good heavy duty moisturizer. I would apply it in the morning and before bed.

I can't remember which brand... but there's a commercial on t.v. that I see on a daily basis and it advertises a moisturizing cream just for dry and cracked feet. You'll be able to find it at Shopper's Drug Mart.

Do you where Sandal's a lot? You should get a pedicure then moisturize your feet at least twice a day. That always works for me. Try also to wear closed toe shoes a little more often.

I have the same problem. Goes with wearing my sandals in the summer. Soak your feet for awhile, use one of those foot brushes to scrub as good as you can. Dry well and then slather with vaseline and put on a pair of socks. The socks are to help keep the moisture in. This works really well when you do it just before bed.

Put lotion on your feet twice a day. Also soak your feet in water and then rub with a pumice stone to get rid of dead skin
