then you are technically scared three-quarters to death. half of a half would be a quarter of the first whole. add that to the half and you get three quarters. voila!!
therefore, you would never be fully scared to death; the incrimentals would just get smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller... etc.

Well, it's a half life thing - think about it if you start with one and are scared half to death, you are at 1/2 life, get scared half to death again, 1/4 life; again, 1/8 ad infinitum! So you always have life left!
What I want to know is: what is Bejesus and how do you get it scared out of you? Can it come right back in or can you only be scared out of it once?

The first time you get scared half to death, you have half of your life left. The second time, you have 1/4th of your life left. If it continues, you will have 1/8th, 1/16th, 1/32nd, and so on and so on. You will always have a little bit of life left.
But the reality about it is that "scared half to death" is just a figure of speech which doesn't really affect your health or life in any way.

You gradually get de-scared over time, so mutlitple near-death scarings are not generally hazardous. Getting scared half to death twice within a short interval can potentially be fatal, though.

The first would 1/2kill you and the second would 1/4 kill you, a third right away would be able to only 1/8 kill you.
