Brazil - I think where the team lost out was too many superstars....I wont put all the blame on coaches..Brazil had two WC winning coaches Pereira & Zagallo they have been great before. Brazil's problem's were aged backs Cafu & Carlos. Kleberson did great as a blocker in midfield in 2002 , a blocker was missed in midfield. Plus continuosly misfiring Ronaldinho & Kaka. Lastly they were too overconfident & cocky. They never played weel enough & deserved what they got.

Germany - I think they did quiet well. Actually they exceeded expectations...a young & exciting coach & team. At the end the inexperience did them in against wily Italians. Also their draining win against Argentina sapped away a lot of energy before Italy game. Check out the history....very few teams have managed to win the next game after a penaltlty shootout.

Argentina - Sadly, they deserved more. A vibrant , young team with most outrageously talented players. However they showed weakness when under pressure. Peckerman is an excellent coach but he did make some mistakes in crucial time against Germany. A weak reserve bench for goalkeepers was a awful flaw..i think argentina lost out because of thei iability to handel pressure in front of a hostile crowd. Also they peaked too early against Serbia.

1) Brazil plays more as individuals then as a team which we all know that Football is a team sport.... 2) Germany's only chance to win was being host country not strong enough on defence..... 3) Argentina is a very young team with not a lot of International games played but in the next WC 2010 in South Africa the Argentina team should and most likely will be the team to beat....

Well, Germany played Argentina so only 1 could advance. Germany and Brazil got knocked out by two solid teams that they both underestimated.

The teams you mentioned were favourites for this cup, and of course they knew it. The Italians and French had been insulted and didn't play as well as they could have earlier in the tournament. They came alive to their potential while the others thought it was a God given right to advance. Remember that Brazil even conceded a goal to Japan early on.

Yeah, Brazil is a huge dissapointment. They dont know how to play. They are not offensive, they rely on Neymar and referees. They cant beat Mexico or Chile (only with luck), but they may cheat somehow and get to the finals anyway.

it is because bad teams plays defensive. Good team must go ahead and its chance for weak team. If it is 0:0 draw everyone can lose it on penalties. Sooner if it was draw, game was played again, but today every bad team believe in penalties. There are hardly no goals because of it.

i think its because they had so much pressure on them and too many expectations to fill.
Germany- they went up against a tight defense from italy
Brazil- it just wasnt their day and the french's experience really paid off
Argentina-germany had the home field advantage and a good goalie when they went to PSO
