They always steal all the good bands and make them popular so all the popular people listen to it even though they hated it before it was on MTV!

I hate MTV, but I love MTV 2. Anyways, your right, they do take the good bands, then make them really, really popular. It's nice to see the band getting respect at first, but when the girls at your school start sinning their song, it's just annoying!

MTV used to be a great station from about 1985-1995. The very first couple of years were boring, and the last decade has been absolute crap.
They had to create new digital cable stations like MTV2 and MTV Jams just to showcase the very music videos that are supposed to be the backbone of the station. Now all they show on MTV are reality shows, with one hour a day of teenage girls screaming over their favorite band (right before they show a 30-sec. video clip). Calling it "music" television anymore is sacreligious.

Yep! MTV sucks balls. it should be called "RTV", Reality Television. Then MTV can hand it's logo over to some other company who actually cares about music, and slowly turns into yet another corporation, and there's your vicious cycle right there.

MTV used to be sort of cutting edge back in the beginning and they actually played videos. Can you imagine? But now its a bunch of corporate posers. I prefer Fuse.

Yeah, they used to play music videos 24/7, and now it is just those stupid reality shows. MTV barely has anything to do with music anymore.

I loathe MTV! At least I do today, when it began it gave everyone in the business an equal change, now it is exactly as you described it.

Yeah! Nowadays it's such a crap! I used to love it like 8 years ago, but now it has changed a lot! I especially hate those teenager shows, with their stupid lives, they r just going out all the time, what's funny with that? My life is so much better than the ones they show on those "realities" .

MTV used to be good when it was truly "MUSIC" television, now there is so much other junk. When they do play music, it is only a very limited genre.

I hate TV period! It sucks out your brains till you can't think anymore! I confess I've found myself in front of the glowing brain sucker more than once but I hate what it does to me. I prefer to watch shows with some brain stimulating qualities.
