i suspect they would live in fear of one another wondering when the other would kill them to survive longer.
LIBERALS would be found holding hands and dieing togheter .the cons would be found with one of them there head bashed in and the other if rescued would say he had been alone on the island.

First they would blame the Clintons for stranding them there. Then the more powerful one would make the less powerful one his servant.
When another crash survivor arrives on their shores, the less powerful of the first two will complain that the newcomer is trying to take his job as servant and they will then build a wall around the island.
When the coconuts begin to run low, they will begin to wage war against each other until they've completely trashed the island. At that point, they will each live in their own zone and starve to death because they paid no attention to caring for the environment on which they depended for survival.

They'd create a functioning society, with industry and production and a chain of command, and figure out how to be rescued.
Without liberal whiners, the progress would be remarkably fast. Because everybody would have to work if they wanted to eat.
Your concept of conservatives is obviously based on some very warped fiction rather than reality.

I think they would sit down and try to figure out a logical way to survive and get off the island, then, since they're conservative, they wouldn't be afraid to work and make their ideas reality.
At least, that's what I'd do.

Actually rather than hold hand they would go to work each doing an important part to insure their survival. They would trade food found for fresh water generated. Create tools for fishing. Homes for shelter.

the conservatives would die tof starvation trying to decide who should kill the fish, and the liberals would die of starvation because they would rather give thier lives for the life of the fish.
And the man-eating fish would wait for high tide and snack on there rotting corpses.
