Yeah that is definitely a problem. You could try talking your friend into getting help but keep in mind that they will only get better if and when they want to. If they have no desire to quit then there isn't much you can do really. You could try and then if that doesn't work walk away. Maybe if enough people walk away your friend will stop because he/she is losing friends. Try an intervention.

If someone drinks every day, yes, they have a drinking problem, However, it is their own problem, and try as you may, only they can fix it and they will only do so if they want to. Mention your concern to that person, but the rest is up to them.

I think that is a lot to drink, so your friends' concerns may be justified. Try talking to your doctor about that amount of alcohol consumtption and the effects it can have on your body.

Also think about why you drink it, and good luck to you!

yes that's excessive. can your "friend" go a day without drinking? If your "friend" honeslty answers no... then its a problem. alcohol is poison. Alcoholism never just affects you, its has deep ramifications for all those around you... if your "friend" has kids, does he/she want his/her kids to think that they love the bottle more than them...

Yes that is a problem. You should try to talk to this friend and voice your concerns. It might be that they don't realize the problem.

Well, if you don't want that lifestyle around you, then stop hanging around with your "friend". There is nothing you can do to fix their problem, they have to fix it.
