I've always wondered that myself. I just got in a fight with my best friend for the first time ever (and we're cousins too) because she basically put me in the backseat and her boyfriend in the front (my seat!). She was married for 11 years and it was never a problem but now that she's back in the dating scene, our relationship certainly isn't as good as it once was. I started a new relationship 4 years ago and anytime my family or friends visited, I made sure I had dedicated time for them.

I don't believe that you should do this to your friends. Your friends will be there even when that relationship comes and goes as well as progresses. Those are the friends you'll need at weddings and parties and when you need someone to talk to.
I realize it's exciting to be in a new relationship and that you want to spend every waking moment with that person, but it's not realistic. IMO

Well, once you get married, your husband or wife is higher priority then your friends. The problem is, not everyone gets married at the same time so the single friends always feel left out. I have a girlfriend who is like this. She's 32 and I'm 28 and she was miffed that I got married before her. It comes down to immaturity - your friends should know that your partner is going to come first, that's only natural.

That's the way it goes girl. You would understand soon enough when you are in their shoes. People sometimes spend 24 hours of a day with their bf \gf they share loads of more intimate things with them that's why friends get side lined. Its not the end of the world though its just a fact of life :).

Because your friends can't love u the way your bf/gf would love you , But i think its wrong for a friend to drop a friend over a bf/gf time should be spent equally

When they do that they love that person and want to be with them for a long time and see that their friends cant give them that fulfillment that the bf or gf can. To much is bad though.

Its because they are pleased that they have a bf/gf so they want to make sure every moment of it is grreat and not interrupted, even by their BFFs. *shrugs*
