You forgot apathetic.

I tend to be optimistic and realistic. I prepare for the worst, hope for the best, and pleasantly surprised whenver life works out closer to the latter.

:)

I am optimistically pessimistic!! That is to say I guess I'm a little of both-a realist at heart!!

I'm an odd one. In the long term I'm highly optomistic, in the short term fairly pessimistic. I guess the future cathces up to me and I've not done the optomistic things I had planned. Who knows. But the glass is always half empty, means the next ones coming quicker!

And clearly I can't spell optimistic.

I am an optimistic person. Why focus on all the bad things when you can be so much happier by focusing on all of the blessings in life?

I am honestly a more realistic person. Half of the time, I always think that things can get better and that they will go in my favor. And other times, I think things are just dreams that will be left just that, dreams.

Excellent question...

I TRY to be optimistic but if that causes you to deal with bad outcomes on a regular basis, sometimes it is better to expect the worst and then be pleasantly surprised by good outcomes.

Realistic, leaning towards pessimistic. If you expect the worst, then whatever happens won't be as bad as you thought it would be. Horrible philosophy, but it works for me! ; )

I try to be optimistic myself, but I must admit it can be a real challenge sometimes. I wonder if there is some place in the middle? haha
